The Weidman Outstanding Volunteer Service Award

Dallas, TX (5/11/2015) - We are pleased to announce that two of our dedicated volunteers, Linda Massey and Sally Adamson, received The Weidman Outstanding Volunteer Service Award during the 15th Annual Archivist's Award Ceremony. They have worked tirelessly to help the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum build a strong education program. 

The Archivist’s Awards Ceremony was held Thursday, May 7th during Public Employee Service Recognition Week. The annual ceremony is an opportunity for the Archivist of the United States, along with the other senior leaders of the National Archives, to acknowledge outstanding service across the agency over the past year, and to thank the entire staff for their hard work and focus on the mission of the agency. The awards categories include:

  • Recognition for Military Service
  • The Guardian Award
  • The Weidman Outstanding Volunteer Service Award
  • Recognition for years of service
  • Lifetime Achievement Award
