Free admission to all three museums in Texas is available May 26, 2018 through September 3, 2018. President George W. Bush walked on stage before addressing military personnel and their families at Fort Stewart, Georgia in 2003.

Perfect day trips, the three Presidential Libraries located in Texas bring American history to life with interesting artifacts, little known facts, entertaining photographs and videos, and fun activities.
“Presidential Libraries are a great opportunity for people to see, hear, learn about, and participate in the important events that made us who we are as a nation,” said Brig. Gen. Patrick X. Mordente, director of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum. “Because of the unique role the military has played in U.S. history, we are particularly proud to be a part of the Blue Star Museums program.”

Visitors to the George W. Bush Presidential Library in Dallas may enjoy First Ladies: Style of Influence, a special exhibit which gives visitors an inside peek at the role that first ladies have played behind the scenes and on the world stage throughout our nation’s history. Other museum highlights include A Nation Under Attack, remembering the events of September 11, 2001; a massive 20-foot-tall, 360-degree LED screen showing multimedia clips; an exact replica of the Oval Office; and the provocative, hands-on Decision Points Theater.

In its special exhibit, Get in the Game: The Fight for Equality in American Sports, the LBJ Library examines the intersection of social justice and sports in the United States. The exhibition celebrates athletes who have broken barriers and spoken out for equality, both on and off the playing field.

Visitors to the George H. W. Bush Library in College Station will experience the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci through over 30 machines based on his visionary designs. Each machine in the Leonardo Da Vinci: Machines in Motion exhibit has been faithfully constructed from Leonardo's notebooks by a modern team of scientists and craftsman in the heart of the Renaissance, Florence, Italy.

Free admission to all three museums is available May 26, 2018 through September 3, 2018 to any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card. This includes those serving in the United States Military - Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, as well as members of the National Guard and Reserve, U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps - and up to five family members. A family member may include a spouse, child, aunts, uncles, or grandparents.
