The George W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum presents a remarkable evening featuring Ken Burns and Lynn Novick (via live simulcast from the National Archives in Washington, D.C. with the Archivist of the United States David S. Ferriero) discussing their ten-part, 18-hour documentary series, The Vietnam War, followed by three Vietnam War Medal of Honor Recipients, Michael E. Thornton, Thomas R. Norris, and Clarence E. Sasser, sharing their personal stories of conspicuous gallantry and unhesitating self-sacrifice.
The discussion will be moderated by Jeffrey A. Engel, Director of the Center for Presidential History, SMU.
This program is presented in conjunction with the National Archives' first ever Vietnam War exhibit, Remembering Vietnam, opening November 10 in Washington, D.C.
* Enter through the Bush Center, on the opposite side of the building from the Museum entrance. Doors open at 5:15pm. At 5:45pm, unclaimed seats will be released to stand-by guests. No one admitted after 5:55pm. No children under 14.
Please note that parking is limited. Handicap parking spaces are located in the lot immediately across from the entrance to the Library and Museum, on SMU Boulevard. Additional parking is available at Moody Parking and Binkley Parking garages, located next to Mockingbird DART Station.
