The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum offers a variety of volunteer opportunities.
Due to the sensitive nature of Presidential materials, all volunteers must be at least 16 years of age; a U.S. Citizen or holder of a permanent resident card/A1 Diplomatic Visa; must successfully pass a background check; and sign a confidentiality agreement. Other requirements:
- Make a 1 year commitment
- Work up to 4.5 hours per week on a non-paid basis unless serving as a volunteer or docent substitute
- Able to learn new skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite programs is a plus
- For some duties, able to lift up to 50 pounds
- For some duties, able to stand for long periods of time and able to climb ladders
