Weekday afternoons are the least crowded. The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

Directions, Parking & Public Transportation
Located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, the physical address is 2943 SMU Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75205. Parking, including accessible parking, is available in the parking lot immediately across from the Museum entrance on SMU Boulevard. Payment may be made by credit or debit card upon exit from the lot. The Museum is also accessible using the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) System using the Orange, Red, or Blue lines. To make your experience safe and enjoyable, be prepared for the Security Check. The Bush Presidential Library is a U.S. Federal agency; weapons are not allowed. Upon entry, all visitors must pass through a security check with a metal detector. All weapons, including guns, knife blades exceeding 2.5" in length, multipurpose tools, and stun-guns, will be confiscated and not returned. All bags are X-rayed, and possibly, searched. Bags larger than 19" tall x 10" wide x 9" deep must be stored in the coat room. Ask a Docent for assistance.
Flash photography is prohibited in most areas of the Museum. Ask a Docent if there are photography restrictions in the special exhibits.
Please be aware that events and activities at the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum may be filmed and/or photographed. Your attendance constitutes authorization of the use of your photograph, voice, or other likeness for purposes related to the Library, including but not limited to marketing and promotion in both print and electronic forms.
Check out the Bush Presidential Center's App for Apple iphone and ipad as well as Google Play. The app includes information about the Museum, such as exhibit galleries, video and audio guides, and ticket and tour information for planning a visit. The app is accessible in English and Spanish and it is ADA compliant.
Visitors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult at all times. Chaperones must remain with younger visitors when in the exhibit galleries, classroom, Cafe43, the courtyard, and Museum Store as well as when on the Bush Center grounds.

Native Texas Park
Located on the grounds of the Bush Center, this 15-acre urban park is free and open to the public every day of the year, from sunrise to sunset. Self-guided tours with a Landscape Education Map and Guide are available.

Dining & Lodging
There are two restaurants at the Bush Center: Cafe 43 and the Courtyard Cafe. Visitors may also picnic in the Native Texas Park. Food and beverages, including candy, gum, and water bottles, are prohibited in the Museum.
Overnight accommodations are available within walking distance and several national hotel chains are short drives from the Library and Museum.
